Due to a delay & uncertainty at the bottom of our house sale chain, we were unable to book movers until 3 days before the actual move date (10th October). We had planned to use a different company but, by this late stage, they were … More already booked. We had expected this may happen, so searching for alternative local removers, we found Vik. From the get go he was brilliant. Responding immediately to all our communications & came to visit & gave a very fair quote the same day. Gave lots of information & advice about the packing & removals process &, at such a stressful time, it was a relief to feel confident & at ease with the service he offered. On move day, Vik & his team (4 men in 2 vans) arrived 20 minutes earlier than expected (which, on reflection, was wise) & set straight to work emptying the house. So much stuff!! It took 2 runs in both vans to move from Trowell to our new home in the Vale of Belvoir & it was dark when they left (I think 7pm). All of them worked so hard & only had a break whilst we were waiting to get the keys from the estate agents. House & garden contents (lots of large potted plants & garden paraphernalia) all loaded, transported & unloaded with care & put into allocated areas. Highly recommend Vik @ Notts Movers

We made some enquiries on-line to see if we could get someone to help get a pocket sprung super king mattress which was very heavy from our hallway upstairs to the main bedroom as we had tried but with little success.
Vikram from Notts … More Movers responded quickly and said they could help, they arrived punctually on the date we arranged, there was two of them both very polite and helpful, and although they tried valiantly, they couldn’t get the mattress round the tight dogleg at the bottom of the stairs, at this stage we half expected them to leave and say they couldn’t complete the job, but instead Vikram said they would come back the next day with more labour.
They arrived again punctually at the arranged time the next day, with extra labour they managed to get the mattress upstairs, which was no mean feat, and also bought the old mattress downstairs.
Unfortunately, during the manoeuvres to get the mattress upstairs our ceiling hall light suffered some damage, this was a metal and glass light fitting and the metal had buckled. We didn’t notice this until a few days later, we contacted Vikram and neither he or his team were aware of the damage, but he offered a partial refund to cover the damage, which we were happy to accept.
We found Vikram and his team a breath of fresh air, friendly, honest and open and would have no hesitation to use them again. Highly recommended. -
Vik is an absolute legend! I needed a last minute house moving service and Vik made arrangements in literally 15 mins. This was on Saturday as well. Helped me move the stuff all the way from my place to the truck which was a decent distance … More in the city centre.
